Envirogen's proprietary high efficiency ion exchange process produces recovery rates that are among the highest in the industry. Characterization of the raw water allows Envirogen engineers to design a system that will optimize the ion exchange removal and regeneration process, maximizing treated water delivered to your customers while minimizing salt consumption and waste brine generation. Our FBR system handles high flows at low cost with typical treatment efficiencies of 99%. With aerobic, anaerobic and anoxic designs available, our FBR systems have been successfully operated at ranges from 5 to 6,000 GPM. |

Envirogen has proven designs to treat water flow rates from 5 GPM to 6,000 GPM and higher. For higher flows, we employ either high-efficiency ion exchange or coagulation filtration technology to optimize the advantage to the customer. Our ion exchange system produces a fraction of the waste generated by conventional arsenic removal systems, resulting in lower operating costs. For lower flows, Envirogen employs a system based upon arsenic-selective media and offers the option of off-site regeneration at our central facility. We also support the management of waste residuals. |

Envirogen offers a dual treatment solution with our patented high efficiency ion-exchange and FBR technology. Ion exchange is currently the prevailing and proven treatment method for perchlorate contamination in drinking water. Our FBR technology is ideally suited for perchlorate concentrations above 150 µg/L (or lower if nitrate concentrations are above 30 mg/L). The FBR process destroys the perchlorate rather than removing it through a phase transfer, eliminating the need for waste handling and disposal while permanently purging the contaminant from the environment. |

For Iron/Manganese removal, Envirogen deploys a manganese dioxide-based coagulation filtration process whereby free ion and manganese are oxidized in the presence of a catalyst, causing coagulation and settling onto manganese dioxide media. The media we employ has been judged superior to competing technologies such as greensand. Our preferred media resists the degradation that is common with manganese-coated substrates. |

Envirogen offers either permanent installations or a service exchange system for hexavalent chromium removal. Under the service exchange model, chromium removal resin regeneration takes place in our central facility, and the chromium is recovered. |

Envirogen offers a range of solutions to remove recalcitrant organics, including our FBRs and MBRs, specialty adsorptive media and advanced oxidation. Our FBRs and MBRs are well-suited for water sources with recalcitrant organics at high concentration levels. Adsorptive media can be used to separate organics for recovery, treatment or disposal. Organic contaminants include PCPPs, 1,4-dioxane, MTBE, PCE and TCE. Naturally occurring organic material (tannins and lignen) can pose color, taste and odor problems. |
