We combine process design, equipment expertise, and lifecycle assurance with full O&M delivery, compliance oversight, and technical support, all built around your site needs and operating conditions.
Our strategic approach helps clients make informed decisions, optimise resources, and improve long-term financial sustainability. Through our LCC model, we deliver value-for-money solutions with fully warrantied performance – supporting reliable operations and long-term success.
Our lifecycle service capabilities support:
We’re not tied to specific technologies – we’re tied to outcomes. Our role is to recommend the right solution based on a full understanding of your needs, ensuring the best fit for your application, your goals, and your operating environment.
Organisations often face challenges when making purchase decisions based solely on capital bids, as these decisions frequently rely on assumptions that do not materialise. Systems may fall short of expected lifespan, with limited warranties and underestimated operational costs – from maintenance and labour to energy and chemical usage. These oversights can lead to unexpected downtime, compliance issues, and escalating costs.
A life cycle costing approach provides a more accurate, long-term view by assessing both acquisition and operational costs. It enables more informed comparisons between options based on real-world performance, reliability, and total financial impact over the full lifecycle of the asset.
Over a 20-year lifecycle, up to 75% of a system’s total cost is typically incurred during the operating period – from maintenance and labour to chemicals and energy. In contrast, up to 25% is spent during the design and build phase.
That’s why decisions based on CAPEX alone can result in higher total expenditure, reduced efficiency, and costly surprises. Our LCC method helps you take control of the full cost picture – improving long-term outcomes and justifying investment through measurable value.
We deliver strategic LCC planning, design optimisation, and service programs that reduce risk and enhance long-term performance – all tailored to your specific application, site, and objectives.

Delivery models available:
At a large Superfund groundwater remediation site, Envirogen has been providing comprehensive water treatment and operational management services for over a decade. Our turnkey solution includes year-round, 24/7 operations, maintenance, laboratory testing, and the supply of chemicals, over 50 monitoring wells, and consumables, all covered by a fixed monthly fee. The state-of-the-art treatment facility – the largest globally for oxyanion contaminants – utilizes advanced systems like Fluidized Bed Reactor (FBR), PureSep UF, and an innovative IX technology design to effectively remove harmful contaminants, including perchlorate, chlorate, nitrate, and hexavalent chromium. Treated water is safely discharged, protecting vital downstream sources and ensuring compliance.
Envirogen partnered with Align JV on the UK’s high-speed rail network (HS2) project to deploy a custom modular ‘plug and play’ water treatment plant, achieving operational status within six months. This advancement in treatment efficiency and innovation is designed to handle over 100,000 gph of contaminated water, guaranteeing stringent water quality output and energy savings. The modular design enabled rapid deployment, scalability, and flexibility, with 24/7 remote monitoring and lifecycle service support for sustained reliability.
At a major bulk liquid storage and logistics facility, Envirogen conducted pilot studies to test the feasibility of targeted methods for groundwater remediation, removing organic compounds and metals. This successful proof of concept led to a full-scale upgrade of the effluent treatment system, allowing for the decommissioning of a large holding tank and freeing up property for sale. Due to historical environmental contamination, the site contains underground plumes, which Envirogen now manages by capturing and treating groundwater to prevent contaminant spread. The treated water is reintroduced safely to local water bodies, with Envirogen guaranteeing effluent quality to ensure compliance. This integrated solution has reduced equipment failures, minimized chemical usage, and enabled the client to achieve more accurate cost forecasting and simplified cash flow planning.
At a major groundwater agency, Envirogen was awarded the design and installation of a biological Fluidized Bed Reactor (FBR) system to address significant perchlorate contamination from deep groundwater extraction wells. Before treatment, concentrations approached 4,000 parts per billion, but the FBR system now reduces perchlorate to significantly below the State Maximum Contaminant (SMC) Level for drinking water, safeguarding municipal supplies. Envirogen’s turnkey solution includes a 10-year operating contract, with skilled water treatment professionals providing direction, oversight, and on-site management of the facility. This arrangement supports cost efficiency and precise cash flow forecasting, aligning with the client’s commitment to sustainable, compliant groundwater management.
Envirogen’s regenerable SimPACK ion exchange (IX) system is treating the city’s groundwater to safe drinking water quality. Designed for continuous nitrate removal, the system reduces nitrate levels to a level at or below 80% or below the State’s maximum contaminant level (MCL) for potable water, delivering uninterrupted performance and optimizing salt and waste reduction. Aligned with Envirogen’s life cycle cost strategy, it provides a reliable and cost-effective treatment solution. Through seamless integration with the client’s team, we ensure collaborative success, meeting water treatment needs with efficiency, effectiveness, and predictable performance-based costs. Envirogen continues to assist the city with ongoing maintenance through a service contract across its treatment systems, supporting the city’s goal to diversify water sources, reduce dependency on costly imported water, and provide residents with affordable access to compliant treated water.
Envirogen’s installation of EndoTherm reverse osmosis (RO) systems at a leading UK hospital ensures a reliable, future-proof solution for healthcare water purification. Designed to meet the rigorous demands of the hospital’s sterile services and endoscope reprocessing departments, which manage busy production lines processing hundreds of sets of surgical equipment daily, these compact units fit seamlessly into the hospital’s congested space. The solution places significant emphasis on monitoring, testing, and proactive maintenance to uphold the highest standards of sterility during reusable medical device processing, with automatic out-of-hours thermal sanitization that sets it apart by eliminating the need for chemical intervention. This approach ensures optimal asset utilization and compliance with stringent water quality standards and regulations.
Envirogen’s solutions are designed for reliability, efficiency, and future-proof compliance. If you’re planning a new system or reassessing the performance of an existing one, we’re here to help.
