Preparing for the Canadian Coal Mining Effluent Regulations (CMERs) Coming in 2026

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is expected to introduce the Coal Mining Effluent Regulations (CMERs) in 2026. The CMERs will specify national water effluent quality limits for selenium, nitrate, and total suspended solids (TSS), alongside new monitoring and reporting requirements.

Emerging Contaminant 1,4 Dioxane Treated with Envirogen Fluidized Bed Reactor

The US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) (Omaha District) and The United States Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), in conjunction with Jacobs Engineering Group (Jacobs) and Bhate Environmental Associates, Inc., have contracted Envirogen Technologies to design, build, and install an active water treatment system to treat 1,4 Dioxane at an Air Force Base in Tennessee.

Envirogen’s Regenerable IX System Treats San Fernando Well 3 to Drinking Water Quality

Envirogen has recently completed commissioning of its regenerable ion exchange (IX) treatment system – SimPACK – for the City of San Fernando (CA) to provide drinking water from its Well 3, where the groundwater’s nitrate levels are above the maximum contaminant level (MCL) for potable water.
